Q: What percentage or amount of retinol is in the Retinol Renewal Serum Concentrate?

A:

In our retinol serum, we use a strong form of retinol which has a percentage of 0.1% overall in the serum. This percentage is the maximum limit we are able to use.

Q: How effective is the Brightening Serum Concentrate?

A:

The Brightening Serum helps diminish the appearance of age spots and brown marks so it will help with freckles.

In regards to the time frame, there are many factors that will determine your results, mainly the cause as it could depend on diet, meds, hormones, lifestyle etc. Results will depend on each individuals skin as every skin will be different. The skin has a 28 day cycle so you don’t generally see benefits until after a full cycle of cell renewal turnover has taken place. Also results can take a lot longer for some skin types depending on the severity of the breakouts.

Most of our products are safe to use during pregnancy. Some of our products contain Salicylic Acid and Retinol, which is recommended that you consult with your doctor before using.

Q: Is BALENSE Vegan Friendly & Cruelty Free?

A:

Balense is cruelty free and will never test on animals. The ingredients within all our products are NOT test on animals nor do we support cruelty. Balense is also paraben free, sulphate free, uses recyclable packaging, and uses biodegradable beads to protect our waterways and marine life.

Just to clarify the regulations in China. Animal testing is being phased out, and there are only certain ingredients that are tested on animals (not that it makes it any better). Testing only occurs on products going into China for sale that contain ingredients on their restricted list.

Our products nor any of the ingredients that we put in our products are tested on animals. We do however source our Liquorice Root ingredient from China, from a sustainably resourced farm that ensures its purity. It is NOT tested on animals.

Our entire team is dedicated to ensuring that our products are ethical and will never be tested on animals nor will we ever source ingredients that are tested on animals. Balense is vegan friendly, which you can find in our brochures.

Q: How much are International Shipping charges?

A:

Shipping charges are based upon the value of your order, the weight of your order and the destination of your order. Once you have your order completed in your shopping cart you can select your destination country to see the shipping options available to you and how much they cost. Orders that are designated for international shipping outside of Australia may be subjected to taxes, customs duties and other fees by the destination country. The recipient is responsible for these fees.

If the purchaser refuses a shipment, they are responsible for any import fees incurred, cost of returning the shipment and the original shipping charges. This amount will be deducted from the merchandise refund plus a 5% restocking fee.
Balense is not responsible for return of shipments or reimbursement of lost packages or damaged products.

None of our Balense products contain any drying alcohol ingredients. Balense uses a unique Time- Release Delivery System to provide controlled and enhanced delivery of water into the layers of the skin. Providing up to five times more hydration activity than Hyaluronic Acid.

A:

For the products in the Boost and Hydrate range, one full pump of the product dispenses 1mL. It is recommended that you use a quarter of a 1mL (equivalent to a pea size amount). By using the recommended dosage twice a day you should get two months of the product, give or take. We also recommend dispersing the product onto your finger, then lightly dabbing the product all around the face and massaging it in. We recommend this as rubbing the product between your fingers prior to applying to your face will result in your hands absorbing the product and going through the product a lot quicker.

This small dosage recommended is enough to deliver the benefits within the skin, as Balense contains potent actives and our unique Time-Release delivery system which works like a drip feed, penetrating the product into the skin throughout the day.
